I have one more day left until the final day (before the world ends).
So far, the game was super exciting. I enjoy battles that keep me on my toes and fast paced compared to a more traditional FF RPG game. As for the graphics it made a huge step compared to FFXIII-2 (I also played this and FFXIII beforehand). One notable difference is the hair which looks significantly less pixelated from the previous models, making it a more polished game compared to the previous titles. However that's only part of what makes the game amazing for me.
Before I got the game, I found the clock aspect a bit intimidating because I tend to miss important details and items when I'm pressed on time. However, it's actually not that bad. As long as I have the Chronostatis ability on Lightning and use it whenever I need to (ie. hunting for items on the map, taking a wrong turn, getting lost, pursuing quests that take a while), then it's less daunting. It works even better when I'm using it during the "Last Ones" mission (in which I wipe every single monster to extinction). Since the Chronostasis ability takes one EP each time I use it and defeating monsters allow me to regain EP, it's possible for me to cast the spell an infinite number of times. This strategy allows me worry less about the clock.
A few things about the clothes/schemata: It's good that I have a choice over what I want Lightning to wear. Her guardian corps outfit (the outfit she wears in the first game) and the soldier of Valhalla outfit (second game) are available for her to wear so it's not a big deal when one isn't so comfortable with having her in clothes that don't seem "canon" regarding her wardrobe. Personally I like/prefer most of the androgynous outfits on Lightning including "Cold Rebellion" and "Quiet Guardian". So really...I didn't feel so bothered by the more revealing costumes (they're optional for a reason).
Once I'm finished with this game, I should consider adding more Lightning fan art onto my gallery.
