Currently a college student, hoping to get an art degree and work between a regular, day job and do commissions in the future. DA is more of a place for me to chill out and have fun with my artwork. My gallery in its entirely is not meant to be a portfolio. However I will occasionally post work that I put a large amount of time and effort to. The rest of my works are just meant to be products of de-stressing myself and loosening up a bit. I'll either take my work seriously or just have fun with it (or both at the same time). DeviantArt is a place for me to explore my ideas and put it all down onto a gallery where I can look at everything as a whole online with others.

Little explanation of what happened:
I went on a trip to Japan again. It was worth spending time at Kurashiki and Nara before going to Tokyo to meet my relatives again. I also ate really good food (one mention is Japanese Italian).

Sort of. My friend *Unicornmon commissioned you an original character named Alisa (FFX OC) sketch in black & white. I saw your work and decided I should check your dA webpage.
(Long story short, my friend usually asks me to do draw her original character for her. I let her use my image as a reference tool whenever she needs to commission an artist to draw her character.)

Speaking of which, my friend was talked about possibly having me color in the line art some day but I don't want to tamper with the original image nor do I want to submit it onto my own page.

Yes, I was with my friend [on the last day] in the artist alley. As for the time we had to wait, I don't mind at all. I know that it sometimes takes a while to complete drawings (I've also drawn for friends, but it usually takes longer for me to design a character or come up with an idea).

I'll definitely color it. I'm thinking about putting it into PhotoShop CS6 and maybe Sai (because the tools are more traditional and simple to use). I'll also consider sharing the original scanned image (B&W) and the .PSD file with you once it's complete.

Ah, Fanime. I've never been, and I don't think I'll ever get a chance, but I'm glad I can still be a part of that somehow. I totally forgot I agreed to be a reference to it, and I think it's totally awesome. If you have any comments or questions about Mary-Sues, or writing in general, I'd be happy to discuss it, or get my butt moving to write about it like I'm supposed to.
